Clarity over opinions
Anyone can give you an opinion about a course. We give you the comparison — eligibility, cost, exams, outcomes — so the choice is yours to make on evidence.
Choosing the right undergraduate course and college is one of the first major career decisions a student makes — and it is usually made in a hurry, under pressure, on advice from everyone at once.
EduNerd Career Coaching is a specialised initiative of Shiksha Nerd, created specifically to help undergraduate aspirants make better-informed decisions about their courses, colleges, entrance examinations and future careers.
The problem is not a shortage of information — it is the opposite. The internet can give you thousands of opinions; good career guidance should give you clarity. We bring together career counselling, college research and student-focused educational content so that families make informed decisions rather than decisions based purely on rankings, trends or peer pressure.
Our objective is simple: help students understand their options before they make a decision that could shape the next several years of their lives. That means treating constraints as real — affordability, location, family expectations, timelines — rather than as obstacles to be motivated past. A plan that ignores them is not optimism.
It also means combining assessment with conversation. A psychometric assessment gives structured insight into interests, aptitude, personality and preferences, but it is an input, not a verdict. The counselling conversation is where it becomes useful.
Students in Classes 8–10 choosing subjects and streams, students in Classes 11–12 choosing courses and colleges, college students reconsidering their direction, and working professionals evaluating a transition. Parents are welcome throughout, and for younger students we actively recommend it.
Sessions run online by default so that where you live is not a constraint on who advises you. In-person sessions can be arranged where practical.
Who you work with
Certified Career Analyst · MBA in Human Resource Management
An HR background matters here for a specific reason: it means the guidance comes from the side of the table that actually does the hiring. What a CV gets read for, which credentials carry weight and which are decoration, and how a career move has to be told so it reads as deliberate — those are learned inside the recruitment process, not from reading about it.
The Certified Career Analyst qualification adds the other half: a structured, tested method for assessment, rather than an opinion formed in the first ten minutes of a conversation.

A score on its own decides nothing. It earns its value only once a counsellor connects it to your academic profile and the opportunities actually open to you.
Telling a student their plan is weak is the useful part of this job. A counsellor who only agrees with you is an expensive mirror.
One career decision can influence years of your life. A session is the cheapest way to find out whether the plan you have is the right one.
